Abuse & Trauma Recovery
Many have experienced emotional wounding through verbal, physical or sexual abuse. Distress associated with abuse is not typically something that heals with time. Victims of abuse frequently carry the effects of such trauma throughout their lives, and it affects the way they experience themselves and their relationships. The Crestview Christian Counseling Center works with individuals, couples and families to claim the healing and wholeness available through Christ.
All new clients must fill out the intake and consent forms before attending their first session. All sessions will be 50 minutes unless otherwise stated by the counselor. During the intake session, counselors will evaluate the nature of personal needs and difficulties, discover goals for therapy and recommend the course of counseling. For children’s initial sessions, the child’s legal guardian is required to attend.
